Classes we offer

  ART Fights Mental 

This is an 4-week class that is designed to help those who are battling mental health like depression and to learn how to use different types of art to help in their battle. This class will teach students different forms of art and help them find one or two that will help them express their emotions through art instead of keeping it inside them. Students will receive all materials to use, including a sketch book free of charge. Class is an hour long, but students can stay up to an extra hour after any class. Students can join at any time during a class at a reduced rate. Contact studio to start during a class.

Our candle making class is a two week class that the first week the class will make a resin candle holder.  The second week the class will make candles with the color and scent of their choice.

  Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface. There are many different styles of painting from Realism, Photorealism, Abstract, Surrealism and Abstract expressionism. Our class will cover multiple different styles and will give the participants a chance to try different types of paint including watercolor, acrylic and oil paints. The class will be one to one and a half hours long for4 weeks with each week focusing on a different style of painting. All paints, brushes and canvas are provided for student use in class. Each student will receive their own starter set of water color paints and brush, which is included at no extra charge.  Students can stay up to 15 minutes after class to work on paintings. Max 8 students a class.

 Design flat pieces of resin art with marbled colors or create and use molds to build your unique resin art.  The class will teach both styles and the students will participate in creating a one of a kind project. Students will have access to enough resign to make a 6 x 6 piece of resin art at no charge. Any additional resin needed will need to be purchased through the studio. The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks. Students can stay up to 15 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5th week if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4th week. Max 8 students a class

 Woodworking is the activity or skill of making items from wood, and includes cabinet making, wood carving, joinery, carpentry, and woodturning.   The class will teach proper handling of the tools and how to use every tool, and then the students will each build a one of a kind project.  The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks. Students can stay up to 45 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have some access to some wood to use in their project at no cost but depending on the size of the project they may need to buy their own wood through the studio or a hardware store. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5thweek if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4thweek. Max 4 students a class.

Using a hot pen to create a design in a piece of wood.   There are different types of wood burning pens and tips for different styles.  This class will teach a few different technics of how someone can wood burn including using paint, stain or just wood and the burning tool.  The class will be 4 weeks long for an hour a week.  The students will create a wood burned sign of their own design. Each student will have access to use of a hot pen and will receive a piece of wood to make their sign out of at no extra charge. Students can stay up to 15 minutes after class to work on sign. Max 8 students per class..
